Created in collaboration with the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians, POMO LAND BACK: A Prayer from the Forest aims to honor the vital movement towards indigenous-led stewardship and rematriation of California forest lands. The film is a visceral, poetic document of an alliance-building, inter-tribal gathering in February 2022, led by the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians, calling for protection and co-management of the 48,652 acre Jackson Demonstration State Forest.
A feature film directed by Louis Fox, currently in production.
The Flow is an experimental style feature-length documentary designed to translate the timeless wisdom of Tao and indigenous cultures into a form that’s accessible to the modern world. It is a ride through what many call 'the zone' - a mysterious phenomenon, also known as "being in the flow."
Co-Producer, Co-Director, Cinematographer and Editor
Inspired by the dedication of a few Big Island locals to re-establish traditional lifeways and food sovereignty in North Kohala, Louis Fox and Evan-Marie Petit created this short documentary to attract support and spread hope.

Louis was honored to lend his communication, messaging and design experience to support the completion of Inhabit.
Inhabit explores the many environmental issues facing us today and examines solutions that are being applied using the ecological design process called 'Permaculture'. Permaculture is a design lens that uses the principles found in ecosystems to help shift our impact from destructive to regenerative. Focused mostly on the Northeastern and Midwestern regions of the United States, Inhabit provides an intimate look at permaculture peoples and practices ranging from rural, suburban, and urban landscapes.
After eight years of work that enlisted a small army of contributors, Sustainable [R]evolution was published in 2014 and has been reprinted several times since. The book was the recipient of both design and non-fiction awards and includes hundreds of color photographs of inspiring sites around the globe. Authors Juliana Birnbaum and Louis Fox were very honored to have environmentalist Paul Hawken write the book’s compelling foreword, and to have included work by luminaries such as David Holmgren (co-founder of the permaculture concept), Starhawk, and Dr. Vandana Shiva.

For Louis, creating "PRODUCT TAKE-BACK POLICY" was a welcome departure from digital media, into the realm of sculpture. The pieces are about biology's ability to survive technology and suggest one way that nature and human culture might find balance
